Elevator | Power & Motion Technology | by Samantha Lotz | 30 Jun 2016
Our goal is to help you save energy and money while improving elevator reliability for your customers. Our regenerative drive technology is designed to help transform your building into a facility that measures up to modern buildings in functionality, comfort, and energy savings.
But, how can you accurately calculate how much energy-and money-regeneratie drives can save you on your next project?
Don't worry, we've got you covered.
The existing DC Motor Generator controlled systems installed in the lift motors
in London's The Economist Building were inefficient, consuming 66kWh/day per lift. Also, an increasing number of breakdowns resulted in a higher level of maintenance support needed to keep the unreliable system operational. Also, sourcing replacement parts was an issue. Magnetek implemented the solution by installing three 85A Quattro AC Elevator Drives configured in permanent magnet motor control operating mode.
