MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. – December 18, 2018 – Magnetek, a leading supplier of digital power and motion control systems for the material handling industry, today announced the availability of the Flex Base® wireless control system for Europe. Flex Base provides a cost-effective solution to the restrictive use of hardwired pendants.
The Flex Base is equipped with a wireless pairing capability that allows information and settings to be transferred between two transmitters or a transmitter-receiver system. This enables new systems to begin operation quickly and minimizes spare parts inventory. Flex Base is also available with numerous programmable functions to suit most types of applications.
“The Flex Base is a durable and rugged, yet lightweight control that is ideal for use in lifting applications including chain hoists and small cranes,” said Norm Davis, product manager, radio controls. “Flex Base systems are packaged with two transmitters and a receiver, allowing for easy replacement and increased uptime.”
The ergonomic Flex Base transmitter can be packaged with either Magnetek’s Flex Base or MRX receiver for a complete solution. Paired with the four and six-button Flex Base transmitter, the space-saving MRX receiver can be mounted on a control panel or the body of a hoist without causing any system imbalance. The MRX receiver offers a Voltage Select feature that automatically adapts to control voltage from three available power supplies: 9-36 VDC, 24-48 VAC, and 48-240 VAC. Eight and 12-button Flex Base transmitters are paired with the feature-rich Flex Base receiver, which offers control capabilities and options suitable for auxiliary functions such as lights and powered lifting devices on overhead cranes.
