CM-ET Training Sessions Resume at Rock Lititz Facility

Columbus McKinnon is excited to resume hands-on training at our Rock Lititz facility! We have taken a number of steps to ensure the safety of our team and students, with increased safety measures and operational changes.  We will continue to do all we can to make training as accessible as possible as we monitor and navigate this pandemic.

If you are planning to attend an in-person Columbus McKinnon training you will be expected to follow a series of practices to ensure safety during your visit. Guests who fail to comply with these practices, whether willfully or through negligence may be dismissed from the facility, at the discretion of the trainer.

New Rock Lititz Training Practices

• All occupants must observe current local and federal guidelines around travel, including any bans and or quarantine requirements.
• Facility access will be limited to the rear door of our facility. We are in suite 40, but the easiest way to find our space is to look for the roll-up dock door numbered 17. Attendees are encouraged to park behind Pod 2. The primary entrances of Pod 2 are not accessible to the public at this time.
• All occupants will need to affirmatively state that they:
  • Have not been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last 14 days
  • Have not knowingly been in contact with another individual diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last 14 days
  • Have not experienced any of the known symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 14 days.
• All occupants will have their temperature checked by a contact-free reader, upon entry.
• Facility occupancy is limited to 10 people.
• Attendees will be assigned individual workstations with space for their personal effects. These areas will be arranged to accommodate safe social distancing.
• Individual workstations will also be supplied with individual equipment/tools. In cases where the sharing of equipment/tools is necessary, these items will be disinfected between users.
• All occupants will be required to wear face coverings, in accordance with CDC guidelines. In situations where it is not practical to wear a face covering, such as while eating, an increased social distancing of 10 feet will be observed.
• Lunches will still be provided through the use of a delivery service.
• All attendees will be required to wash or sanitize their hands when entering and leaving common areas, such as the kitchen space and restrooms.
• Personal refreshments and food items brought in by attendees will not be permitted in the shared refrigerator. We discourage attendees from bringing such items, but if they choose to do so, these items must be kept in their assigned workspace. Our facility is stocked with bottled water, coffee, and a variety of soft drinks, which are available to our guests.
• Attendees are encouraged to remain on premises for the entire session each day. Exceptions to this can be discussed with the trainer, on a case by case basis.
• Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes and sprays will be readily available throughout the facility.

Additional mitigations specific to SPRAT rope access sessions:

• Rope Access classes will utilize a simulated casualty (rescue dummy) for rescue exercises. The simulated casualty will be disinfected between each use.
• The rooftop exhaust handler will be in constant use. This pulls fresh air into the building and up through the rooftop. This will minimize the risk of transmission associated with lack of airflow.
• The use of face coverings may be relaxed while attendees are climbing, contingent upon an increased social distancing and at the discretion of the trainer.

These practices are part of a coordinated effort taken by Columbus McKinnon to ensure safety for every member of our community and Rock Lititz training team. We are excited to get back to training and thank you in advance for your participation.
